Insurance and Billing Information (Arvada and Littleton)

At New Leaf Hearing Care, our patients are our top priority. We work hard to provide excellent hearing healthcare while also keeping your budget in mind. We know hearing care can feel expensive, so we offer clear pricing and flexible payment options to make your visit as simple and affordable as possible.

Our clinics serve Arvada, CO and Littleton, CO (formerly Columbine Hearing Care).

Do We Bill Insurance?

In general, insurance does not cover every service an audiologist may recommend.

Medicare

New Leaf Hearing Care does not participate in Medicare. Medicare Part B does not pay for routine hearing tests, hearing tests for hearing aids, advanced diagnostic testing, new hearing aids, services related to hearing aids, or earwax removal performed by an audiologist.

Commercial Insurance

We are out-of-network with all commercial insurance carriers due to low reimbursement rates. This allows us to offer the same affordable pricing to every patient.

“Hearing Aid Benefits” and Discount Programs

Some commercial plans (including some Medicare Advantage plans) advertise hearing aid “benefits.” In many cases, these are discount programs managed by a third-party vendor that controls pricing, device options, where you can receive care, and how many follow-up visits you get.

We do not participate in these programs because they can limit the quality of care we can provide.

What This Means for You

New Leaf Hearing Care is not in-network with Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans, or commercial insurance carriers.

You will receive an itemized invoice that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

We understand patients want to use insurance. Based on long experience in hearing healthcare, insurance “coverage” for hearing services (especially hearing aids) often falls short. Staying out-of-network helps us keep our pricing lower, and we can frequently match or beat many “discounted” plan prices.

Fees for Services

Because our services are private pay, we aim to be fully transparent about costs and provide an itemized list of products and services.

Fees for Hearing Loss Treatment

Treating hearing loss involves more than purchasing hearing aids. It includes evaluation, assessment, fitting, fine-tuning, and ongoing maintenance that support the best outcomes.

We use a bundled treatment model that includes products, visits, and services for a set amount of time, with two payment options:

Pay-in-Full Treatment Program

We offer treatment programs ranging in price from $3200 up to $8600. During your Treatment Consultation, we will work with you to determine the technology level and service plan that best fits your hearing loss, lifestyle, and budget. You may use our Pricing Estimator Tool to receive a preliminary estimate for your treatment program. Our providers will then work with you to fine-tune the program to your specific needs. We also offer flexible financing options - see below for more details.
